Have you ever been cleaning your car after a long winter and realized just how much salt got past your winter matts onto the carpet? After several attempts of using the "Amazing Salt Remover" you bought for $20 nothing has changed, and you are left wondering if your carpets are ruined? well look no further there is one solution that removes the salt in minutes, but does not remove money from your wallet.
The Solution

Throughout the course of my car detailing career I have spent countless hours trying to figure out how to remove salt stains from a carpet or matt and nothing seems to work. You read the instructions on your "Amazing Salt Remover" and it says "apply to salt spot and leave on for 10-15 seconds before wiping the salt away" but nothing is changed, other than the fact that you are out $20.
Anyone who likes cooking, or has cooked before knows that there is one thing that dissolves salt the fastest and is not a chemical so you do not have to look further than your own home to find it. Yes, that's right! warm water!
If you ever find salt on your car matts or carpet and need to get rid of it before it damages the fibers forever, a spray bottle and some warm water is all you need. Spray the warm water on top of the salt, and let is sit for a couple seconds before wiping it away. If you have access to a wet/dry shop vacuum you can use that to make sure you get rid of all the water. Make sure that you do not soak the carpet too much as you do not want the water to get to the insulation below. Keep in mind that some salt stains may be more severe than others so it may take 1 or 2 tries, but the water is sure to get rid of the salt.
